Concept & Design
Exploring Reactor Technologies
Our project focuses on the development of a cutting-edge research facility, featuring two core reactor types: a Zero-Power Reactor (ZPR) and a Multipurpose Research Reactor (MPRR). These reactors will serve diverse scientific and technical purposes and could be co-located within the same facility to optimize resources and functionality.
Rigorous Evaluation Process
We are conducting comprehensive analyses to ensure the best possible reactor designs:
- Technology Review: Studying existing and emerging reactor technologies.
- Performance Assessment: Using advanced simulations, including neutron transport calculations and thermal-hydraulic analysis, to evaluate reactor behavior and key physics parameters.
- Safety & Operational Feasibility: Investigating design options, safety systems, and operational procedures to meet the highest standards.
Collaborative Decision-Making
Expert teams from various disciplines are working together to:
- Identify functional and technical requirements.
- Develop criteria for selecting the optimal reactor concepts.
- Engage stakeholders to align designs with user needs.
Our ultimate goal is to design a state-of-the-art facility that exemplifies innovation and excellence in nuclear research.
